Lactose Intolerance Test

Lactose is the natural sugar found in milk and dairy products. When it isn't fully broken down, it can pass into the large bowel where bacteria ferment it, producing hydrogen and methane gas that may contribute to bloating, wind, abdominal discomfort, nausea and changes in bowel habit. This at-home hydrogen/methane breath test measures those gases after a standard lactose drink to help identify lactose malabsorption. Your kit and instructions are posted directly to you - no collection centre visit needed - and if your result is positive our nutritionist can work with you to tailor your diet.

What's included

Hydrogen/methane breath tests are highly specific and sensitive tools for the diagnosis of FODMAP malabsorption.
